Coconut Rum Cream

Rich cream flavors are followed by both fresh and toasted coconut notes. It finishes pleasantly sweet, coating the palate, with subtle complementary notes of nutmeg and cardamom.

It pours to a milky white color.  The aroma is vanilla ice cream, toasted coconut, and cinnamon with a rum backing.  The feel in creamy but not thick.  The coconut cream pie entry is joined by sweet rum flavor.  It fades with fresh cream, toasted coconut, and cinnamon taste, finishing with a mild burn on the back of my throat.  At 30 proof I was surprised how much rum flavor Brinley’s Coconut Cream has.  The dairy cream, coconut, and cinnamon flavors were natural, and very tasty.

Milky white and scented with coconut, this liqueur is sweet and creamy on the palate, with plenty of coconut flavor. It’s not as thick as some other cream liqueurs, which makes it relatively easy drinking. Ideal for mixing into pina colada-style drinks in place of coconut cream.

Brunch So Hard

1 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream
.5 oz crème de cacao
.25 vanilla simple syrup
5 oz cold brew coffee

Shake with ice to combine, and strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice.


Chai-ly Dangerous

2 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream

1 oz Coldcock American Whiskey

 

Pour into rocks glass with ice. Stir to combine and dust with cinnamon.


Coconut-Lemon Yum

1.5 oz Reposado Tequila

1 oz Shipwreck Coconut Cream

.5 oz Meletti Limoncello

 

Shake lightly with ice, and strain into highball with fresh ice. Serve with a garnish of a small scoop of coconut or lemon sorbet.


Coconut-Vanilla Egg Cream

1 oz Shipwreck Vanilla Rum

1 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream

Club soda

Pour first two ingredients into old-fashioned soda glass with ice, stir lightly to combine, top with club soda.

Substitute Shipwreck Coffee Rum and Autocrat Coffee Syrup for Coconut-Coffee Cream.

Substitute Meletti Cioccolato for Shipwreck Vanilla Rum for a Chocolate-Coconut Cream.


Coquito (Variant 1)

3 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream

1 oz Shipwreck Spiced Rum

 

Pour over ice in rocks glass. Stir to combine. Garnish with grated nutmeg and cinnamon.


Coquito (Variant 2)

3 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream
.5 oz St. Elizabeth Allspice dram (optional)

Pour over ice, stir lightly to combine, and garnish with ground cinnamon to taste.


Drunken Banana

1 oz vodka

1 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream

.5 oz Giffard Banane du Bresil liqueur

 

Shake all three ingredients with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Make it a Dirty Banana by adding .5 oz Meletti Cioccolato.

1 oz Shipwreck Coconut Rum Cream
1 oz Shipwreck Coffee Rum

Shake, strain over ice in a rocks glass.

Shake, strain over crushed ice in tumbler. Garnish with Jamaican all spice, lemon twist, umbrella and monkey.
