1.25 oz Rebellion Rye

1.25 oz VSOP cognac

3 dashes Angostura bitters

2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

1 sugar cube

.5 barspoon cold water

Absinthe for rinse

Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe, discarding any excess and set aside. In a mixing glass, muddle sugar cube, water, and both bitters. Add the rye and cognac, and stir until well chilled. Strain into rinsed glass. Twist a lemon peel over glass to express oils and discard.
