Rully ‘Clos Des Mollepierres’
The Estate-owned vineyard of Clos Des Mollepierres was aptly named “field of soft stones” for its unique soil composition. This well-rounded, vibrant wine possesses rich fruit flavors. Floral aromas abound on the nose with accents of citrus and stone fruit notes. Honey and dried fruit flavors develop in time. Fermented on the lees and aged in French oak barrels for several months.

In this wine, a whiff of reduction assails the nose with the first sniff. It soon dissipates to reveal concentrated apple freshness, with a distinct tinge of fresh rhubarb. This combines with creaminess and freshness, resulting in an unusual but very balanced wine with an elegant and long finish.

A wood-aged wine, this is crisp while also rounded. It has weight, with pear and apple flavors and a great tang of forward acidity. This is attractive and well worth aging.
