Opici Wines Amongst Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2015

Wine Spectator released their highly anticipated Top 100 last week. And Opici Wines’ snagged two spots amongst the top 30!

Carpineto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2010 was ranked #26. Rated 93 points just this fall with its “enticing aromas of sweet cherry, leather, spice and underbrush.” Reviewer, Bruce Sanderson called this a “harmonious red.” And best of all, you can currently find this vintage on store shelves! Dominio de Tares Cepas Viejas Mencia 2011 took the #30 slot scoring 93 points. Spanish reviewer, Thomas Matthews touted this old vine Mencia “delivers rich flavors of plum, blackberry and boysenberry, with accents of coffee, mountain herb, cedar and mineral.” This vintage is set to come stateside in early 2016 so add to your shopping list for the new year.
