Ruca Malen Reserva Petit Verdot 2010 (WA)

The 2010 Ruca Malen Petit Verdot is from Agrelo in Lujan de Cuyo from vines planted in 2000 with malolactic in stainless steel and then aged for twelve months in 80% French and 20% American oak. It has a light blueberry and dark plum bouquet that offers a touch of black olive. The palate is medium-bodied with a chewy entry, dense powdery tannins but fine precision on the sappy finish with touches of white pepper. This is a good effort towards a tricky grape variety. Drink 2013-2018.
