Liano

With only a few thousand cases produced annually, Liano is a high-quality wine named after Umberto Cesari’s Liano vineyard in Colli Bolognesi, 10 miles south of Bologna. Liano is cold fermented in stainless steel, aged in French oak, and cold-bottled under a nitrogen blanket. Boasting a persistent bouquet of ripe fruit, interlaced with vanilla and spices, this dry red has a complex, yet harmonious taste with a lingering finish. It pairs well with red meats and roasted game.

International Wine & Spirits Competition - Gold Medal

Almost solid black and impenetrable. This leaps out of the glass with the most exquisite, rich and seductive bouquet which is the finest expression of two great classic varietals, masterfully handled at all stages. The concentration is amazing both on the nose and on palate, the fruit and oak perfectly integrated and harmonious, the texture is lavish and so is the flavour. There is nothing, simply nothing out of place.

From the little-known Rubicone appellation in Central Italy, this blend of Sangiovese (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon shows great aspirations. The fruit tones are dark and jammy and there’s a toasted note on the back.

Packaged in a big, heavy bottle, this Riserva Sangiovese shows elegant tones of wild berry, blue flowers, moist earth and spice. This is a very traditional take on Italy’s favorite indigenous variety with a soft, silky close.

Milk chocolate, blueberry, black cherry and spice open the nose of this ruby-colored blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. In the mouth, it offers dense structure, soft fruit flavors and a touch of exotic spice on the close.
